The Department of Education at Tennessee Wesleyan University is dedicated to the preparation of competent professionals, master assessment strategists, reflective practitioners, and service-oriented individuals whose knowledge, skills, dispositions and values will enable them to create academic programs that will meet the needs of their diverse students and the communities where they serve. The Teacher Education Program provides a series of courses and experiences that culminate in a full semester of student teaching. The entire program is a cooperative effort combining high quality instruction on campus with the active resources of local school systems.
