Trevecca, located in the heart of the state's capital, has a long history of responding to the needs of the community. The University recognizes the community's critical need for qualified and competent teachers to which the School of Education has always responded. Through coursework, field and clinical experiences, collaboration with Primary and State Partners, and a focused Diversity and Retention Plan, candidates are provided exposure to competent instructional practices and a wealth of experiences. This type of training prepares candidates to position the students they serve as knowledgeable and valuable contributors of information. In 2023, the School of Education achieved full CAEP accreditation at the initial and advanced levels, following a history of NCATE accreditation.
